The Chocolate-Making Process
The process of making chocolate begins with cocoa beans harvested from cocoa pods. After being harvested, the cocoa beans go through a process of fermentation and drying to develop their aroma and characteristic flavor. Next, the cocoa beans are roasted to produce a stronger aroma and richer flavor. The shells are then removed, leaving the cocoa nibs. The nibs are crushed and processed into cocoa paste or cocoa mass. The cocoa mass is then mixed with other ingredients, such as sugar and milk, depending on the type of chocolate being made. The mixture is refined and mixed until it has a smooth texture. Finally, the chocolate goes through a tempering process, which helps give it a smooth texture and a good appearance. After that, the chocolate is poured into molds and cooled until it becomes ready to use or enjoy.
